WHO ARE WE

The Smile Foundation is an incorporated, nonprofit, IRS code 501© (3), international medical project.  Founded in December 2000, the foundation provides a multidisciplinary approach to helping children with congenital facial deformities, specifically cleft lip and palate defects.  The success of our work is due in part to our outstanding professional team who believe in sharing their talent, creativity and strong Christian faith to assist children of the World.

MISSION STATEMENT
We are a caring, loving medical project with one goal… to put smiles back on the faces of children with congenital facial deformities.  Our arms are open to all children of the world who are in need of facial care.

THE FOUNDATION’S GOALS
Our goals are to provide a multidisciplinary approach to help assist children with congenital facial deformities.  Each of the following areas assists the family and child, providing an atmosphere of support prior to, during, and after surgery:

  1. transportation for patient and family members
  2. lodging before, during and after surgical care
  3. referrals for psychosocial development, dental orthodontic care, speech therapy
  4. support for additional plastic surgery and rehabilitation
  5. provide a teaching environment for sharing professional skills
  6. provide teaching tools for speech and social reentry in the community.

 

THIS IS JUST THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG.  THE SKY IS OUR LIMIT AND WE BELIEVE THE CHILDREN OF THE WORLD ARE THE FUTURE OF THE UNIVERSE.
