WHAT WE DO

The foundation provides free preoperative surgical and postoperative care by our professional team.  We welcome professional medical teams from other countries to accompany the children before, during and after the surgical procedure in order to update skills and to become proficient in the care of children with facial defects (cleft lip/palates).

EQUIPMENT RESOURCES

Our surgical teams go into the field prepared to teach local medical professionals how to treat cleft lips and palates. We believe that as more surgeons learn these skills, children will receive better care more quickly.
As the surgeons perform their corrective work, they will gladly demonstrate procedures and explain the techniques they employ. After these initial demonstrations, our team can supervise as the local surgeons gain experience by performing the corrective procedures themselves.
In order for this training to take place, the local physician must either speak English or provide an interpreter. We find that plastic surgeons are usually the most comfortable performing repairs on cleft lips and palates.
In the event you requirement equipment or supplies, we may be able to assist you in procuring these items through donations or vendor discounts.  For more information, contact the surgical or Foundation Chairs.

The Foundation accepts equipment donations.  New and used equipment in good working condition will be gratefully accepted and distributed to physicians worldwide for use in cleft lip and palate surgeries.

International dialing assistance is available here.

Also, we are now able to accept your donations online via PayPal
Because of the generosity of our volunteers, ninety-five percent of all contributions go directly to the care and treatment of the children
